Climbing Mt. Washington
Mengusung genre dokumenter, Climbing Mt. Washington (1917) hadir dengan cerita yang sayang untuk dilewatkan. "This picture shows a party of ten, tied together with a rope, with their spiked shoes biting into the treacherous icy path, mounting slowly upward during terrific storm to the summit of Mt. Washton. A single misstep would have meant death to these adventurers and the daring cameraman, but they all returned alive." "The ascent of Mount Washington is part of the Edison's 'Conquest Pictures' series. This series were a series of films released since 1917 by the Edison company in an effort to diminish expenditures during World War I, when the company lost the European Markets. They were made also, in response to many influential groups, which called for heightened moral purity and cleanliness. These programs were meant to provide 'cleaner and more wholesome films, which could be exhibited with safety before any member of the family.' The results proved disappointing."
